& so far it’s now 9, count ‘em NINE pairs that I’ve acquired so far from SVP SPORTS in the different colours that are available in my size..
They’re the perfect hybrid amalgam of what’s cool and FüNkY about the CHUCK ⭐ 70’s: like the better design & quality of construction, choice of materials, comfier ’ortholite’ footbed, n’ ultra high gloss varnished finish.. and with that of the ALL⭐STAR Lifts 🛗 with the thicker, comfier to walk in spongier platform sole & larger, rounder, more spacious ‘toe box’ area…
And the way in which they have done so, the finished product reminds me of the British 🇬🇧 Royal ⚓️ Navy’s “Dazzle Ships” or Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark’s album cover by the same name..
Or from an Art 🖼️ Historical Perspective… Picasso and Braque’s CUBISM movement, in which everything gets observed, reduced and rendered into multiple perspectives, & the deconstruction of objects into geometric shapes…
So hence why I always love wearing them to the Albright-Knox Gallery in Buffalo 🇺🇸 , the Getty in Los Angeles, AGO in Toronto 🇨🇦 , National Gallery in Ottawa, The Geo. Pompadour & Louvre in Paris 🇫🇷, along with The TATE, RA & National Portrait Gallery in 🇬🇧 London. -as they’re t’riffic for spending several hours at a time on your feet, perusing all of the many salons there at the galleries and museums… along with the times spent at the 🛫 airports 🛬 , train🚅🚇 stations etc. just getting there! 😉👍
